What if I told you that there was an ancient secret to good health and longevity… that there was a series of simple exercises, movements, and moving meditations that rejuvenate balance, enhance flexibility, support joints, increase muscle strength, aid endurance and stamina and decrease stress and anxiety while building up the core and carving out abs without weights, situps, or crunches like nothing you’ve ever seen on a late night infomercial?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. I can hear your thoughts right now. “But aren’t those slow lazy movements and exercises only for old people because they can’t handle performing REAL exercises?”

Yes, I shared that sentiment when I first entered this ancient new world which has been mind-blowingly transformative to my health and well-being since I began learning and practicing the Ancient Arts of Tai Chi and Qigong in the middle of 2014. At the time I was recovering from a debilitating back injury and chronic digestive issues. The back pain and inflammation were keeping me from being able to play hockey regularly and was at times so severe it was causing me to miss work shifts. After a few months of practicing some simple exercises I found on youtube and then dropping in once a week at a class with an exceptional instructor (Sifu Josie), I was “back” playing hockey 2-3 times a week and working virtually pain free. I felt like I had my life back, my stress levels reached an all time low, and I felt stronger and more at peace than I could ever remember.

So reserve your judgement until you’ve had time to see these marvels of ancient time for what they are and not simply what they appear to be. If you do that, I promise to reveal to you some of the simplest but profound life-changing and life-enhancing practices and exercises in the very next blog-post on this topic. Stay tuned….
